WELCOME TO JD AESTHETICS ACADEMY

Welcome to JD Aesthetics Academy, where beauty meets expertise in our premier clinic and training academy for aesthetic practitioners.

New Regulations

We understand there’s growing concern and uncertainty around the upcoming aesthetics regulations set to be introduced following all recommendations. As an academy committed to high standards and practitioner success, we want to reassure you and provide clarity during this transition.

The aim of regulation is to create a safer, more professional landscape for aesthetics in the UK. While formal implementation may take up to 2–3 years, now is the time to prepare and protect your business with best practices.

To ensure all students meet the necessary eligibility requirements, access to our courses is granted on an approval-only basis. Once you request to join a course, your application will be reviewed in line with our educational standards and regulatory guidelines. You’ll receive an email with further instructions to confirm your place and access the pre-study content. This process helps us maintain quality control and ensures a safe, compliant learning environment for all students.

Upcoming Aesthetic Regulations:
What You Need to Know

New UK licensing regulations are on the way, aiming to raise safety and professional standards in aesthetics. While nothing is enforced yet, here’s what you should start preparing for:

You Will Be Licensed – Not Just the Clinic

Start protecting yourself now:

  • Use digital consent systems to log consent, medical forms, before/afters, batch numbers, and clinical notes.

  • Record all client contact, including DMs and aftercare queries – this supports your insurance.

  • Never consult or treat under-18s – ID must be checked, documented, and uploaded.

Training Case Studies May Be Required

Students will be provided with:

  • Signed consent and medical forms from models

  • Before/after photos

  • Trainer sign-off via Certification

Your Treatment Room Must Be Clinical

Regulations may include:

  • Wipeable walls, flooring, and surfaces (no wood or gaps)

  • Sink with hot/cold water and elbow taps (portable accepted in some areas)

  • Fire safety certificates, PAT-tested equipment, insurance

Required signage includes CCTV, no-smoking signs, handwashing guides, fire exits, and trip hazard signs.

Stock an Emergency Kit

Include:

  • 2x EpiPens or adrenaline ampoules

  • Hyaluronidase (with valid prescriptions)

  • Timolol drops, aspirin, loratadine, syringes, heat packs
