Treatment Information & Aftercare Guide

What is Plasma Fibroblasting?

Plasma fibroblasting is a non-surgical skin tightening treatment designed to improve skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles, and overall skin texture.

Using a specialised plasma device, tiny controlled micro-injuries are created on the skin's surface. This stimulates the body's natural healing response, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin to tighten and rejuvenate the treated area.

The treatment can be used on areas including:

  • Upper and lower eyelids

  • Crow's feet

  • Forehead lines

  • Frown lines

  • Nasolabial folds

  • Neck

  • Jawline

  • Abdomen

  • Arms

  • Other areas of skin laxity

During Your Treatment

  • The treatment area will be cleansed thoroughly.

  • A topical numbing cream will be applied to maximise comfort.

  • The plasma device will create a pattern of tiny dots on the skin.

  • You may experience a warm sensation during treatment.

  • Mild redness and swelling are expected immediately afterwards.

Treatment times vary depending on the area being treated.

What to Expect After Treatment

Immediately following treatment, you may experience:

  • Redness

  • Swelling

  • A sensation similar to mild sunburn

  • Small brown carbon crusts (tiny dots) on the skin

These reactions are normal and form part of the healing process.

Healing Timeline

Days 1–3

  • Swelling is usually at its peak, particularly around the eyes.

  • Redness and tightness are common.

Days 4–7

  • Carbon crusts begin to dry and naturally shed.

  • Skin may feel dry and itchy.

Days 7–14

  • Most crusts have fallen away naturally.

  • Mild pinkness may remain.

Weeks 4–12

  • Collagen remodelling continues.

  • Skin tightening and rejuvenation become progressively more noticeable.

Final results can continue to develop for up to 12 weeks and beyond.

Aftercare Instructions

First 24 Hours

  • Keep the treated area clean and dry.

  • Avoid touching the area unnecessarily.

  • Do not apply makeup unless specifically advised by your practitioner.

  • Avoid excessive sweating.

Important: Do Not Pick the Crusts

The small carbon crusts must be allowed to fall away naturally.

Do NOT:

  • Pick

  • Scratch

  • Rub

  • Peel

Premature removal can increase the risk of infection, delayed healing, scarring, and pigmentation changes.

Cleansing

  • Cleanse gently as advised by your practitioner.

  • Pat dry with a clean towel.

  • Avoid harsh cleansers, exfoliants, acids, retinoids, or active skincare products until the skin has fully healed.

Moisturising

  • Use only the recommended aftercare products provided or advised by your practitioner.

  • Keep the skin hydrated while avoiding excessive product application.

Sun Protection

Sun protection is essential following plasma fibroblasting.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 8–12 weeks.

  • Apply SPF 50 daily once the skin has healed sufficiently.

  • Wear a wide-brimmed hat and seek shade whenever possible.

Failure to protect the skin from UV exposure may increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.

Avoid for 7–14 Days

  • Swimming pools

  • Hot tubs

  • Saunas

  • Steam rooms

  • Sunbeds

  • Intensive exercise

  • Excessive sweating

  • Facial treatments

  • Waxing and hair removal treatments in the treated area

Makeup

  • Avoid makeup until all crusts have naturally fallen away or as advised by your practitioner.

  • When makeup is reintroduced, use clean brushes and products.

Results

You may notice:

  • Firmer, tighter skin

  • Improved skin texture

  • Softening of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Enhanced skin quality and tone

Results continue to improve as collagen production increases during the healing process.

Multiple treatments may be recommended depending on the area treated and the desired outcome.
