Treatment Information & Aftercare Guide
What is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is a safe and effective treatment used to reduce the appearance of thread veins (spider veins) on the legs. A specially formulated solution is injected directly into the affected veins using a very fine needle.
The solution irritates the lining of the vein, causing it to collapse and seal shut. Over time, the treated vein is naturally absorbed by the body and gradually fades from view.
During Your Treatment
Your practitioner will assess the veins to be treated.
The treatment area will be cleansed thoroughly.
A series of tiny injections will be administered into the targeted veins.
You may experience a mild stinging, tingling, or burning sensation during the injections.
The procedure typically takes 15–45 minutes, depending on the size and number of veins being treated.
Compression stockings or tight leggings may be applied immediately after treatment.
What to Expect After Treatment
It is normal to experience:
Mild redness around the injection sites
Slight swelling or tenderness
Bruising
Itching along the treated veins
Darkening or discolouration of treated veins before they fade
Results are gradual and may take several weeks to become visible. Multiple treatment sessions may be required to achieve the desired outcome.

Important Information
While sclerotherapy is highly effective, no treatment can guarantee complete removal of all visible veins. New thread veins may develop in the future due to genetics, hormonal changes, lifestyle factors, or prolonged standing.
Regular maintenance treatments may be recommended to maintain your results.
