Service Description

CO₂ laser removal is a precise and effective treatment used to safely remove benign skin lesions such as skin tags and seborrhoeic keratosis. This advanced laser technology allows targeted removal of unwanted growths while minimising damage to the surrounding skin. Skin tags are common, non cancerous growths that often develop in areas of friction such as the neck, underarms, eyelids and body folds. Seborrhoeic keratosis are benign skin lesions that typically appear with age and may look raised, rough or wart like, varying in colour from light brown to black. The CO₂ laser works by delivering controlled laser energy to vaporise the lesion layer by layer. This method allows for high precision, minimal bleeding and reduced risk of scarring compared to traditional removal techniques. The surrounding skin remains largely unaffected, supporting smoother healing. All CO₂ laser lesion removal treatments are carried out by Joanna, an experienced aesthetic expert with advanced knowledge of laser safety, skin anatomy and lesion assessment, ensuring treatments are performed safely and appropriately. Pre Care Advice Avoid sun exposure, tanning and sunbeds for at least two weeks prior to treatment Avoid retinoids, exfoliants and active skincare for 7 days before treatment Do not attend treatment with active skin infections, inflammation or broken skin Inform your practitioner of any medical conditions or medications Arrive with clean skin free from creams or oils Procedure A consultation and assessment is carried out to confirm suitability. The area is cleansed and the CO₂ laser is used to precisely remove the skin tag or seborrhoeic keratosis. The procedure typically takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size and number of lesions treated. Aftercare Advice Keep the treated area clean and dry Avoid picking or scratching the area Avoid heat, exercise, saunas and steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours Avoid sun exposure and apply SPF once healed Mild redness or scabbing is normal and temporary
