Dissolving and refilling lips 2-4 weeks
Service Description
Dissolve and refill lips is a staged, non surgical corrective treatment designed to safely remove unwanted or migrated lip filler before rebuilding the lips with improved structure, balance and definition. This approach is ideal for clients who have experienced overfilling, migration, lumpiness, asymmetry, or results that no longer suit their facial features. The first stage involves dissolving existing hyaluronic acid filler using hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down filler and allows the lips to return closer to their natural shape. Allowing a settling period of 2 to 4 weeks is essential to enable inflammation to subside and tissue to recover fully before new filler is placed. Once healed, the lips are carefully re assessed and refilled using advanced techniques to create a more natural, balanced and long lasting result. This staged approach prioritises safety, precision and optimal outcomes rather than layering filler over compromised tissue. All dissolve and refill treatments are carried out by Joanna, an experienced aesthetic expert with advanced knowledge of lip anatomy and complication management, ensuring the process is performed safely and with clinical judgement. Pre Care Advice Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to each appointment Avoid blood thinning medications and supplements for 48 hours unless prescribed Do not attend treatment with active cold sores, infections or inflammation around the lips Inform your practitioner of all previous filler treatments and medical history A patch test may be required before dissolving Procedure At the first appointment, unwanted filler is dissolved using hyaluronidase. Following a 2 to 4 week settling period, a second appointment is carried out to refill and reshape the lips using hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Each appointment takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Aftercare Advice Avoid touching or massaging the lips unless advised Avoid lip makeup for 24 hours Avoid exercise, heat, saunas and steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours Avoid alcohol for 24 hours Swelling or bruising is normal and temporary
