Service Description

Dissolving dermal filler is a non surgical corrective treatment used to safely break down previously placed hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers. This treatment is commonly used to address overfilling, migration, asymmetry, lumpiness, or results that no longer align with the client’s aesthetic goals. The procedure uses hyaluronidase, an enzyme that naturally occurs in the body and is able to dissolve hyaluronic acid filler when injected into the treated area. Results can be seen quickly, allowing the area to return closer to its natural state before further treatment or correction is considered. Dissolving filler may be recommended prior to refilling, when correcting work carried out elsewhere, or where filler has aged poorly over time. A thorough assessment is essential, as not all concerns require dissolving and some areas may need staged treatment. All dissolving treatments are carried out by Joanna, an experienced aesthetic expert with advanced knowledge of facial anatomy and complication management, ensuring the procedure is performed safely, precisely and with clinical judgement. Pre Care Advice Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment Avoid blood thinning medications and supplements for 48 hours unless prescribed Do not attend treatment if you have active infections, inflammation or skin conditions in the area Inform your practitioner of all previous filler treatments and medical history A patch test may be required prior to treatment Procedure A detailed consultation is carried out to assess the area and confirm suitability. Hyaluronidase is carefully injected into the target area to break down unwanted filler. The procedure typically takes around 30 minutes. Depending on the amount and placement of filler, more than one session may be required. Aftercare Advice Avoid touching or massaging the treated area unless advised Avoid makeup for 24 hours Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, saunas and steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours Avoid alcohol for 24 hours Swelling, redness or tenderness is common and temporary
