IPL pigmentation removal is a non surgical skin treatment designed to reduce the appearance of unwanted pigmentation and uneven skin tone. Using intense pulsed light technology, the treatment targets excess melanin within the skin, breaking it down so it can be naturally removed by the body. This treatment is effective for concerns such as sun damage, age spots, freckles, uneven pigmentation and pigmentation caused by sun exposure. IPL selectively treats pigmented areas while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected, helping to restore a clearer, more even complexion. Following treatment, pigmented areas may temporarily darken before gradually fading as the skin renews. Multiple sessions may be required depending on the depth and severity of pigmentation. Treatment plans are fully customised based on skin type and individual concerns. All IPL pigmentation treatments are carried out by Joanna, an experienced aesthetic expert with advanced knowledge of light based technology and skin pigmentation concerns, ensuring safe treatment and optimal results. Pre Care Advice Avoid sun exposure, tanning and sunbeds for at least two weeks prior to treatment Avoid retinoids, exfoliants and active skincare for 5 to 7 days before treatment Do not attend treatment with active skin infections, inflammation or broken skin Avoid self tanning products before treatment Inform your practitioner of any medical conditions or medications Procedure A consultation and skin assessment are carried out prior to treatment. The area is cleansed and protective eyewear is provided. IPL light pulses are delivered to the skin to target pigmented areas. The procedure typically takes 15 to 45 minutes depending on the treatment area. Aftercare Advice Avoid heat, exercise, saunas and steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours Avoid sun exposure and apply SPF daily Do not pick or exfoliate treated areas Mild redness or darkening of pigmentation is normal and temporary Follow the recommended treatment schedule for best results
